After spending my three week holiday living the outdoor life, admiring the views, enjoying all the places I’ve been to and really appreciating nature – I am itching to start “working with nature” again.
I really do appreciate living in such a beautiful area of Crete. It inspires me to incorporate what I see into my artworks. Yes, I’m lucky to be living here but actually, I made it all happen! Continue reading
6.4 Earthquake Hits Crete!
OMG there was an earthquake here on Crete today! I was working at my desk when everything started shaking! But it was the ground moving underneath me that was really frightening! It seemed to go on for ages and was the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen or experienced. Continue reading
My Holiday Continues!
I’ve had yet another fab, fab week! How lucky I am to have had these last three weeks to just rest and chill! Perfect at the end of what has been a very busy summer season.
This past week the weather on Crete has been wonderful. Really warm and sunny with just a light breeze keeping temperatures so comfortable to relax in. I have had such a lovely time with Nick. We’ve had three whole days where we’ve just chilled on a quiet sandy beach, listening to music, chatting, having a drink at one of the beach bars and soaking up the atmosphere and the views. Happiness in the UK, Spain and of course, Crete!
I am home again after my two week break in the UK and Spain. Although I had a packed schedule whilst in the UK, I felt well rested and pleased with all that I achieved.
I spent my first day in the UK shopping for all the bits and pieces I can’t get in Crete, then the evening relaxing with my sister Karen and her husband Mike, whom I always stay with when in the UK.
On Friday night I went out with my friend Angela, for a few glasses of quality wine (the only thing I really miss in Crete – apart from my daughters, family and friends of course!) at The John Millington in Cheadle Hulme. Continue reading
Excited about my Holiday in Spain!
This blog should have been entered days ago but, as always happens with me – I get side-tracked!
My good friend Lisa has returned to Crete – this time to stay. I am so pleased to have her back and we have already enjoyed one of our ‘girly’ nights out. She has also been keeping me company whilst I’ve been selling on the beach, chatting the whole time to bring me up-to-date on all her news. Continue reading
Parting with loved ones always makes me cry.
It has been a few weeks since my last post and this is because I have been having a wonderful time with my two gorgeous daughters, Zoe and Emma and Emma’s boyfriend, Ash. Although Emma and Ash were only in Crete for a week we crammed as much fun and enjoyment into that week as was possible! Continue reading
Too busy to write!
While I write this I am sitting here watching the beautiful sunset again. I am taking a welcome breather but I still have heaps to do.
I am literally rushed off my feet with work and cannot produce my seashell mosaics and collages fast enough! Continue reading
Welcome Back to Crete!
Well it’s the end of July and it’s been another record month for sales. The tourists have been flooding back to Crete after the previous year’s depleted numbers. Last year the British and European media had been negative towards Greece almost all of 2012. Continue reading
Desperately Seeking ‘Me’ Time!
I can’t help it! I am here again on my balcony sofa, having just caught the sunset directly opposite me! It is Sunday night again and I am desperately in need of some ‘me’ time. I can’t believe how this past week has flown by! Continue reading
What a Great Life!
I have just finished my busy weekend and am now chilling on my comfy sofa (which is also a spare bed!) on the balcony. I am tired but I am happy! It is pleasantly warm and there’s a cool breeze blowing and so I am very comfortable. Continue reading
